Once upon a summer's night, while I browsed the old art site
Over many a lovely deviation, each of them honest and true,
While I clicked with heavy sigh, suddenly there caught my eye
On my user page did I spy, spy my pageview number added to
`'Tis a lonely visitor,' I muttered, 'Granting me a view -
Only this, and nothing new.'
Yet the possibilities did thrill me, as I wondered who was looking
Wondering if they'd comment, or even favorite my art
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
`'Tis some visitor quickly passing through my art -
Some late visitor entreating entrance to my gallery for a lark; -
This it is; they'll soon depart.'
Open here did I the message center, when, much to my dismay
Appeared a single message that wasn't there before.
No later did I comprehend, the message before me that was penned
To notify me of the favorite I got from ~Nevermore-Lenore
And was I pleased and proud and thrilled, tickled to my very core
Truly was I very glad, very glad, and nothing more.
And that lovely favorite still is sitting, still is sitting
In my hallowed message center right where it had been before;
And its presence sets my heart a-flutter, bringing to my spirit wonder
And the way it fills my soul with pride, that my work someone adores
Shall disappear - nevermore!
Phew! Basically, that was just my slightly round-about way of saying: Thanks for the favorite!
